One of the most important and overlooked parts of working out.

When working out one of the most discouraging things is putting in the work and not seeing the results on the scale.  Seeing that same number on the scale week after week can be very discouraging!  That is why one of the most important parts about tracking your fitness goals is body measurements.  A common topic among people who are starting their fitness journey is how to take your measurement!  The problem is that a lot of people don’t know where or how to take body measurements to get them accurately.

All you need to get started is a measuring tape, a body fat tester, and a friend!  So how to get body measurements your friend will use the tape measure and measure some specific spots.  Where to take your measurements, you will take measurements of your bicep, chest, waist, hips, thighs, and your calves.  You will also use the body fat tester on your stomach to help estimate your body fat percentage.  A lot of people ask about taking body measurements for women, these are the same for guys.
